Global real estate advisor George McDowell has definitely been there - done that! George's years of corporate experience have paved the way to a successful real estate career with his wife, Gail. Together, they have experienced six corporate relocations, bought and sold eight homes and constructed a beautiful waterfront property with over 6,500 square feet on the Geist Reservoir in Indianapolis. Their personal moving experience has helped them forge the way to a successful real estate career and given them a firm understanding of the relocation process.
George's corporate background spanned over 40 years, consisting of 18 years with Fortune 500 companies, including Ingersoll Rand and Stanley. Ten years with Ingersoll Rand were the most memorable and fun for George. As vice president of sales, he was responsible for 200 sales associates and over $500 million in sales volume. George's understanding of budgets and sales goals is a big plus to their residential home sales and marketing process.
Along with a busy career, George has always managed to find time for golf. He has played on over 250 golf courses in 25 states and four countries. In addition to playing in many golf communities, George and Gail have been members of country clubs for over 30 years. They have played competitive golf at most of the Charlotte area's private clubs.
George has dedicated his personal time to developing the first men's golf association at TPC Piper Glen. His position as president of the PGMGA gave him a special understanding of the intricacies that go into the upkeep and management of a private country club. If you ask George about his love of golf, he will tell you, "Life is good!"
